It was mentioned in the official forums, so I assume you are not acting against the will of the creators by using an unofficial patch to play a game you paid money for, which does not work otherwise. Patch v2.2 only fixed CD reading issues and you do not need it, because the “nvidia patch” makes the game playable without CD. You probably have a graphics card newer than the GeForce 6000 generation, so you need the famous “nvidia patch”.

Launch setup.exe, wait for it to find your installed game and install the addon. If the addon CD installer cannot find your main game installation, simply copy the files from the addon disc to game folder (you can overwrite enginetest.exe).Install Industry Giant 2 Gold, or main game + addon from the disc, including videos (full install). The following instructions are for the disc version: The early way to play Industry Giant 2 Gold on Windows 7 machines included buying the old disc version, installing the patch, then applying an unoffical “nvidia ATI patch”. Install the Disc Version of Industry Giant 2 With the Nvidia ATI Patch Since I want to be able to store the game offline, I extracted all the language files, so that the language can be changed even without being connected to GOG/Steam/the Internet. There seem to be some mistakes in the ingame.txt files, as not all text can be displayed correctly in the German language, even though at first glance the ingame.txt file looks like the text is there.

You change the language in GOG/Steam, which first changes the “ig2.ini” (empty, g, s, f, i, r), and then GOG/Steam download new text files in \maps\, a new logo in \uif\frontent_egfx\ (German only), and a \uif\ingame.txt file that searches and replaces English text with whatever language you chose. Industry Giant 2 can be played in English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, and Russian.

User Maps: They seem to be lost forever.Endless Maps: Missing Florida (web archive error), although they are already in the Steam/GOG version, except the Happy New Year, Northern Sund, and Ridge Islands.Fun Maps: “Asterix”, “Check!” and “Explosion” are fun maps that are already in the Steam/GOG version.Maps, of which three are not in the Steam/GOG version, and can be added manually (copy to “maps” folder), explanation below:.A bunch of stuff, such as a fansite kit with graphics, a list of products that can be manufactured, a Winamp skin, ingame UI skins, wallpapers, and a screensaver.

The Industry Giant 2 editor (not needed if you own the GOG version).

It may not have included PDF manuals or the soundtrack, but the add-on and gold version included the editor. You may still get it to work with the “Nvidia ATI patch”, but I recommend against doing it. All versions contain the complete gameplay (including the “Gold” edition), even though the new GOG and Steam version falsely claim in the description that there are only 20 endless maps. There are four versions of the game: CD, GOG (classic), Steam, and GOG. Advertisement Technical Buying and Installation of Industry Giant 2
